With over 15 years of experience in cybersecurity, he brings extensive expertise in technology scouting and strategic market entry, aiming to expand Hi inov’s core segments by enhancing its presence in cybersecurity investments. Rainer is responsible for identifying cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies and fostering partnerships that support portfolio companies in navigating complex cyber landscapes.
Rainer is committed to advancing Hi inov’s mission of supporting companies at the forefront of cybersecurity. As an expert in infrastructure resilience, he designs IT architectures that are particularly robust, going beyond mere defense strategies to actively strengthen structures and enhance their durability. He envisions creating a robust ecosystem of innovative technologies that effectively combat cybercrime and address emerging threats. Through his role, he aims to strengthen Hi inov’s position as a leading investor in the cybersecurity sector and help portfolio companies achieve sustainable growth.
Rainer is the founder and CEO of adyton Cybersecurity, a leader in scouting innovative cybersecurity technologies. Previously, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) of Avira, Germany’s largest IT security company, later acquired by NortonLifeLock. He is also the CRO of Veridium, a cybersecurity software provider. Rainer has established himself as an expert in cybersecurity and cyberdefense by developing successful go-to-market and marketing strategies for cybersecurity providers in the USA, Israel, and EMEA. His extensive network and regular engagement with CIOs and CISOs across Europe provide Hi inov with invaluable insights and strategic connections.
He holds a degree in Engineering and has further honed his expertise at the University of St. Gallen.
